English Name:
Spider Monkeys

Spider
monkeys range geographically from the Yucatan peninsula through
Amazonia. They live in large multi-male multi-female groups that often
break down into smaller groups for foraging. Spider monkeys are highly
suspensory arborealists (resembling gibbons in some respects) and use
their tail as a fifth limb for feeding and traveling through the upper
levels of main rain forest canopy. They lack an external thumb.
