<div class="tree_txt_unlinked"><p><em>Lophocebus</em> are small-bodied mangabeys found in central Africa. Two species are recognized: <em>L. albigena</em> and <em>L.aterrimus</em>.
Members of this genus are predominately frugivorous and eat some
invertebrates. They live in small groups of about 15 individuals. They
are distinguished anatomically from <em>Cercocebus</em> by their smaller teeth, elongated skull, narrow interorbital space, and an inferiorly curved zygomatic arch.</p>
